Now, here are some of my favorite japanese detective dramas
KINDAICHI CASE FILES

THE MAIN CHARACTERS OF KINDAICHI CASE FILES 1995 SERIES
The Kindaichi series is what I call the father of all detective jdrama. This first aired in 1995 (I'm not even in this world yet) but I watched them all last two years (2012 -2013). The first season in the series is by far my favourite among the others with its great balance of suspense, gory and comedic moments. Although the series contains multiple plot flaws. It is actually based on a manga series and also spawned long-running animated series.
MR. BRAIN

THE PROTAGONIST, NEUROSCIENTIST RYUSUKE TSUKUMO
The technology might be over than average but this drama still captures me.
GALILEO

COVER OF THE FIRST GALILEO MOVIE: THE DEVOTION OF SUSPECT X (2007)
Yukawa Manabu is a physics assistant professor of Teito University and a weirdo dubbed as Galileo who helps Detective Utsumi in solving occult and seemingly unscientific crimes using science and logic.
KIINA: IMPOSSIBLE CRIME INVESTIGATOR

THE PROTAGONIST, DETECTIVE HARUSE KIINA
JOKER: UNFORGIVING INVESTIGATORS

THE MAIN CHARACTERS: from left to right (DETECTIVE DATE, DETECTIVE MIYAGI and KURUSU)
DETECTIVE CONAN

THE MAIN CHARACTERS: from left to right (KAZUHA, HEIJI, SHINICHI and RAN)
Watching these dramas had given me vast knowledge in the
world criminal and investigation. I have read many books on mysteries and
detetives like The Adventures, The Casebook, The Memoirs and The Return of
Sherlock Holmes, The Carribean Mystery, Death on the Nile, The Orient Express
by Agatha Christie and oher books of Ellery Queen.
I also became fond of watching american
police-procedurals like CSI:NY, NCIS, NUMB3RS, etc but still nothing beats my
fondness with japaneses mystery dramas. They are good in combining the serious
and comedic atmosphere.
